Another suspect detained in the case of mass riots on Bolotanaya Ploshchad

Today Central Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee as part of investigating a criminal case over mass riots and violence against representatives of authority on 6 May on Bolotnaya Ploshchad in Moscow have detained as a suspect a muscovite Sergey Vladimirovich Krivov, born 08.09.61. He is suspected of crimes under part 2 of article 212 and part 1 of article 318 of the RF Criminal Code (participation in mass riots and use of violence against a representative of authority).

According to investigators, Krivov when breaking the cordon snatched a special tool Pr-73 (rubber baton) from policeman’s hands and delivered several blows to policemen.

Investigators have indisputable evidence of Krivov’s involvement in these crimes, including testimonies of witnesses and victims and a video from the incident scene.

At present Krivov is detained. In the near future investigators are planning to bring charges and choose a pre-trial restraining measure.

Investigators are going to establish and prosecute one and all organizers and participants of mass riots and persons using violence against representatives of authority during March of Millions on 6 May in Moscow. Search and investigating operations are underway to identify and detain other participants of mass riots on Bolotnaya Ploshchad.
