Man suspected of killing four detained in Moscow

Moscow Inter-Regional Transport Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continues investigating a criminal case opened after dead bodies of four men have been found. The case was opened into signs of crimes under paragraph “a” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder of two or more people) and part 1 of article 222 (illegal circulation of firearms and ammunition).

Thanks to efficient measures taken by investigators together with the police, they could quickly identify the suspect. It is 32-year-old Sergey Pavlov, the victims’ colleague from Moscow Region, who was previously convicted several times, including of murder. He surrendered himself, told about the circumstances of the crime and showed the place, where he had threw away the gun. Pavlov claims that he committed the murder during a conflict and based on personal hostile relationships existing between him and the victims during a long time.

The man has been detained and is now being questioned as a suspect. In future he will be placed in custody as a pre-trial restraint.
