On 7 April 2014, a regional TV channel showed a footage on improper discharge of their duty by medical workers, who had hid from a mother the fact that her child had a birth injury resulted in a number of grave illnesses in the child born in 2002. Despite the fact, they are refusing to provide free medications and treatment in specialized medical facilities. The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee in the Jewish Autonomous Region have launched a pre-investigating check into the incident.

At present checkouts are underway to find out all the circumstances of the incident. A procedural decision will be taken following the results of the check.
