In Saint-Petersburg Armenian national convicted of illegal business and gambling

A court has found the evidence gathered by Saint-Petersburg Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee sufficient to convict 27-year-old Armenian national Armen Arutyunyan. He was found guilty of illegal business and organization of gambling (paragraph “b” of part 2 of article 171 of the RF Penal Code and paragraph “a” of part 2 of article 171.2).

The investigators and court have found that between June 2010 and October 2011 Arutyunyan organized illegal gambling on the ground floor in the rooms 3N and 24N at No 32/1 “a” in Sadovaya Street. By this illegal activity he got about 19 million rubles of unauthorized profit.

Arutyunyan got a 4-year suspended sentence and a fine of 20 thousand rubles.
