Chairman of the Investigative Committee holds personal reception of citizens in Moscow

Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has held a personal reception of citizens in Moscow. Alexander Bastrykin received 28 citizens of Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Moscow, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaliningrad, Rostov, Saratov and Sverdlovsk regions and Republic of Tatarstan and other regions.

The most of complaints addressed to Mr. Bastrykin during the personal reception concerned criminal cases in proceedings at the investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee. They are mostly criminal cases and messages about personal crimes and official malfeasances. In addition citizens complained about illegal actions of investigators and staff of the Federal Drug Control Service.

During the reception, which took from 11 AM to 1:30 PM on 13 March, all the citizens who had arrived at the building of the Investigative Committee were received. Based on the results of the personal reception Mr. Bastrykin gave explicit orders to heads of a number of territorial investigating bodies. Progress of reviewing all accepted complaints and application is under personal control of the Chairman.
