Today around 2 PM, a blast happened on a bus and killed at least 5 people, 20 more sought medical help. The state of 7 injured is estimated as grave. The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee in Volgograd Region have launched a criminal investigation into signs of a crime under part 3of article 205 of the RF Penal Code (a terrorist attack), part 2 of article 105 (murder), article 222 (illegal circulation of arms).

According to preliminary information the explosive device was set off on the bus, when it was at Lesobaza bus stop in Lazorevaya Street in the city of Volgograd. The bus was travelling from the State University to the Yubileyny cinema.

Bomb disposal technicians are now working at the scene. When they, are finished the investigators will be able to start more careful examination of the scene. The criminologists of the Central Office of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have been sent to Volgograd for practical assistance.
