The Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continue investigating a criminal case into signs of a crime under part 3 of article 263 of the RF Penal Code (violation of safety standards for traffic and operation of air transport entailing by negligence death of two or more people) over the Boeing-737 plane crash in Kazan.

During the probe investigators continue to look at the circumstances in which the crew of the crashed jetliner were trained. They have found that aircraft commander Rustem Salikhov had a profession of a flight navigator and later he allegedly acquired a certificate of commercial aircraft pilot in one of aviation training centers licensed by the Federal Air Transport Agnecy (Rosaviation). The investigators have doubts about legality of the activity by the said aviation training center, which were liquidated. In this view today the Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee is carrying out searches in some of Rosaviation departments to confiscate documents regarding activity of those training centers. After the searches the investigators are going to question heads of the departments.

Besides, the identification of all 50 bodies has been finished. According to the results of the analyses no drugs or alcohol have been found in the pilots’ blood.
