Officials of the Tver Region Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee for several years have been providing assistance to Torzhok children’s home. There are 50 children in the facility. The investigators regularly buy them toys, sport gear, text books, sweets, congratulate them on the Day of Knowledge, New Year and Children’s Day.

As the tradition goes, on 27 May the investigators visited a graduation party and congratulated the graduates and all the inmates on the coming International Children’s Day and wished them health, happiness, joy and fulfillment of their wishes. After the celebration in order to prevent crimes against children the investigators talked to the inmates about behavior in dangerous situations. The children listened intently and asked questions. The inmates and their teachers thanked the investigators for their kind and attentive attitude.

At the end of the event the investigators gave the children’s home a multimedia projector and bed accessories. The children gave the officials handicrafts as a sign of gratitude for the help and attention.
