The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee for the Oryol Region have launched a criminal investigation based on the files provided by the Main Economic Safety and Counter Corruption Department of the Russian Interior Ministry against General Director of OAO Factory-Farm Enterprise Orlovskaya niva Sergey Budagov. He is suspected of a crime under part 4 of article 159 of the RF Penal Code (fraud).

According to investigators, in the period between April 2009 and December 2010, Sergey Budagov acting together with unidentified officials bought at underrated price rights to 99% of shares of the Orlovskaya niva owned by the Oryol Region Department for Property, Industry and Informatization. The preliminary sum of damage stands at at least 425 million rubles.

The investigation and search operations are underway to find all the circumstances of the crime. The investigation is ongoing.
