In Omsk Region criminal case opened against CEO of OOO NPO Mostovik suspected of stealing over half a billion in road construction

The Omsk Region Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case against CEO of OOO NPO Mostovik, deputy of Omsk Region Legislative Assembly Oleg Shishov, suspected of a crime under part 3 of article 159.4 of the RF Penal Code (fraud aggravated by intentional failure to execute contract liabilities in the area of business on a very large scale) and against officials of Omsk Region Road Maintenance Department and the Omsk Region Government under paragraph “c” of part 3 of article 286 (excess of authority entailing grave consequences).

According to investigators, Shishov stole from the Omsk Region budget over 500 million rubles by failing to execute provision of a state contract on construction of the sector Fyodorovka – Alexandrovka of circular road of the city of Omsk while unidentified officials of Omsk Region Road Maintenance Department and the Omsk Region Government illegally transferred the money to OOO NPO Mostovik. As a result over 500 million rubles was stolen from the Omsk Region budget.

At present the investigators are searching for and confiscating the evidence. They are going to identify all the officials involved in stealing budgetary funds.
