CEO of NPO Mostovik suspected of 1.9 billion rubles worth fraud arrested

A criminal case over fraud by employees of OOO NPO Mostovik (Scientific Production Association) during the building of Primorye Aquarium Scientific and Educational Complex has been accepted for investigation by the Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee.

Today a court has satisfied a request filed by investigators and ruled to remand CEO of OOO NPO Mostovik Oleg Shishov in custody pending trial. In the near future he will be charged with a crime under part 4 of article 159 of the RF Penal Code (fraud on a very large scale).

According to investigators, in the period between March 2010 and September 2014,Shishov failed to finish Primorye Aquarium in the city of Vladivostok in time despite the fact that it had been prepaid for and stole 1 billion 982 million rubles by deceit.

At present investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the crime.
