CEO of ZAO Firma Neva travel agency detained in Saint-Petersburg

Saint-Petersburg Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continues investigating a criminal case over frauds (part 4 of article 159 of the RF Penal Code) committed by employees of ZAO Firma Neva travel agency.

Investigators have detained CEO of Firma Neva Maxim Pirogov, 43, who, according to the investigators, in 2014, having no intentions to execute the obligations of providing tours, stole the money he received from clients. On 16 July 2014, the activity of Firma Neva was suspended and no services were provided to clients, damaging over 6 thousand people. The damage caused by the frauds committed by employees of the travel agency stands at over 450 million rubles.

The investigators are going to press charges and request restraint. During the probe the investigators are going to identify all the suspects of fraud that deprived people of holidays.
