In North Ossetia-Alania local resident earlier convicted of robbery found guilty of very serious crimes

A court has recognized the evidence gathered by the investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee for North Ossetia-Alania sufficient to convict resident of the town of Digora David Nikgorov. He was found guilty of crimes under paragraphs “a” and “g” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder of two), part 3 of article 30, paragraphs “a” and “g” of part 2 of article 105 (attempted murder of two or more people) and part 2 of article 222 (illegal circulation of firearms).

The court and investigators have found that in the afternoon of 4 January 2014, near the Dymok café located on the outskirts of Digora Nikgolov and his friends shot down 4 men, whom they had had a conflict earlier.

The perpetrator was caught during efficiently planned investigative and search operations. During the investigation he cooperated with investigators and actively helped to solve the crime.

The court sentenced Nikgolov to 17 years to be served in a special-security penal colony and 2 years of restraint of liberty.

The investigation against another accomplice is underway. He is wanted.
