Investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee for the Republic of Bashkortostan have launched a criminal case in a crime under part 3 of article 159 of the RF Penal Code (fraud) based on the records of an initial check in the stealing of money of the municipality in the area of accomplishment.

According to investigators, in 2013, the Ufa city department of communal services and accomplishment and municipal company Specialized City Cleaning Motor Services signed a municipal contract on capture and utilization of stray animals. The company overstated the amount of work done (by over 1.5 thousand head) and the parties signed acceptance certificates. In this view almost 1 million rubles was stolen from the municipal budget.

At present investigating and search operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the crime and identify the persons involved. The investigation is ongoing.
