The Orenburg Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a criminal investigation in a crime under part 4 of article 159 of the RF Penal Code (fraud committed by a group of people in previous conspiracy on a very large scale).

According to investigators, in 2011, top managers of the company filed with a tax authority a tax statement on compensation for VAT and put their knowingly false information on upgrading agricultural production. Under a contractor’s agreement the company transferred to its affiliated firm some money allegedly for doing the job. In fact the work was not done and the firm that received the money had nothing to do with them whatsoever. As a result the company illegally received compensation for VAT from the federal budget, this way having stolen over 15 million rubles of state funds.

Investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the crime. The investigation is ongoing.
