Parents of many children that got hurt during actions in Donbass have decided to appeal for medical aid in leading hospitals of Russia as there is a possibility to organize highly qualified treatment, which is unfortunately, is unavailable in their homeland. The children badly wounded by mines and shells are being treated in Dr. Roshal’s clinic – Research Institute of Emergency Children’s Surgery and Traumatology. In addition, the nature of wounds of most of the children requires long restoration and rehabilitation period, starting with psychological aid and ending with prosthetics.
No doubt, that such treatment and rehabilitation is a great financial burden and not every affected family can handle it. This is why officials of the Russia’s Investigative Committee are actively raising funds to treat the children wounded during hostilities. At the moment 12 regional investigations directorates have already raised some money. First were officials of Saint-Petersburg Main Investigations Directorate who raised over 850 thousand rubles for the wounded children.
Both senior officials of territorial bodies and rank-and-file employees have been addressing to the Investigative Committee Central Office. They have been asking how they might help to children wounded in Donbass.
