Man suspected of illegal drug dealing detained in St. Petersburg

Saint-Petersburg Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continues investigating a criminal case opened in a robbery (paragraph “b” of part 4 of article 162 of the RF Penal Code).

In the evening of 1 September 2014, Alexander Zaytsev and David Bedoyev introduced themselves as officials of the Russia’s Investigative Committee and got into the office of a company located at No 25, Bolshaya Konyushennaya street. They attacked the present and stole about 10 million rubles. After that they fled in a Gazel minibus with the logo of the Investigative Committee on it and a forged number plate. Both Zaytsev and Badoyev have been arrested and charged.

To identify the accomplices of the accused or find other crimes, the investigators together with officials of the crime detection department of Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad Region Main Office of the Ministry of the Interior carried out a number of searches on 28 February 2015. Namely, Shota Imnaishvili, 51, was detained in a house in the village of Pargolovo. He had 1.82 g of amphetamine. A criminal investigation in a crime under part 2 of article 228 of the RF Penal Code (illegal drug dealing) has been launched against Imnaishvili. Soon he is going to be arrested and charged. The investigations are ongoing.
