Ulyanovsk Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have finished investigating a criminal case against CEO of Universal-service charged with a crime under paragraph “c” of part 2 of article 238 of the RF Penal Code (providing services that do not meet safety standards entailing death of a person).

According to investigators, the accused was in charge of services on water attractions and a pool in Alexandrobsky Park in Zasviyazhsky district of Ulyanovsk, but failed to provide necessary safety measures which resulted in drowning of a 12-year-old child who was in the part together with his parents on 16 July 2014.

The investigators have gathered enough evidence, so the criminal case has been forwarded for the indictment to be approved and later to be sent in court to be tried on the merits.
