Dead bodies of a 38-year-old man and his 2-year-old son were found on 28 February 2015, in a flat the man rented in the town of Cheboksary. The Chuvash Republic investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a criminal investigation in a crime under paragraph “c” of part of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder of a minor).

According to one of versions, in the afternoon of 28 February 2015, the man choked his son presumably by pressing a pillow to his face and then killed himself. The owner of the flat found the bodies when came to check on them as the tenant had not been answering the phone for two weeks. On that day the father and some were home alone.

At present investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the crime. A number of forensic inquiries have been set, including: a medical, a forensic medical, a DNA test, a postmortem psychiatric examination, a computer-technical one. The investigation is ongoing.
