The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee for Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area-Yugra continue investigating a criminal case opened in crimes under part 2 of article 201 of the RF Penal Code (abuse of power), part 4 of article 160 (embezzlement on a very large scale). Former CEO of OAO State Insurance Company Yugoria has been detained today on suspicions of the said crimes.

According to investigators, the suspect, while being the CEO of State Insurance Company Yugoria caused the company damage of over 170 million rubles disguising his criminal activity as renewal of agreements Yugoria had with another insurance company.

Investigative and search operations are underway to gather and consolidate the evidence. Restraint is expected. The investigation is ongoing.

The investigation is conducted with operational support from officers of the Economic Security Office of the Department of the Russian Interior Ministry for Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area-Yugra.
