A court has found the evidence gathered by the Karelia authorities of the Investigative Committee sufficient to convict director, accountant and economist of the Segezha District Centralized Accounting Department for Social Facilities. They were found guilty of a crime under Part 4 of Article 159 of the RF Penal Code (fraud committed by a group of people using their official positions and on a very large scale).

The court and investigation have found, that in the period between 2009 and 2015, the accused conspired and illegally assigned wages to people not involved in labor relations with municipal facilities of the district, and then received the money by stealing budget funds. As a result, Segezha District suffered damage of over 5.5 million rubles.

The court has sentenced them to 3.5 years of probation.
