Court starts trial of former head of Dalspetsstroy Yuri Khrizman and his accomplices

The Far Eastern District Military Court started today trying the case opened into the stealing of money during the construction of Vostochny space launching site. The case was investigated by the major investigations office of the Investigative Committee. The accused are former director of the Special Construction Directorate Dalspetsstroy under the Federal Agency for Special Construction Yuri Khrizman, chief accountant of the enterprise Vladimir Ashikhmin,m Mikhail Khrizman and former chairman of the Khabarovsk Territory Legislative Duma Viktor Chudov. Depending on the role of each one of the men, they are accused of crimes under Part 3 of Article 285, Part 4 of Article 160 of the RF Penal Code (abuse of office, embezzlement).

According to investigators Yuri Khrizman and Vladimir Ashikhmin abused office by spending the advanced payment under 11 government contracts for the purposes not related to the construction of Vostochny space launching site, which caused the Russian Federation damage of 5.2 billion rubles.

Additionally, Yuri Khrizman, his son Mikhail Khrizman and former chairman of the Khabarovsk Territory Legislative Duma Viktor Chudov stole 105.9 million rubles from the enterprise by embezzling it while purchasing construction materials and tires for the needs of the enterprise at obviously overstate price via the firms they had under their control.
