In Chelyabinsk Region, former CEO of Rosgranstroy office found guilty of bribery

A court has recognized the evidence collected by the Chelyabinsk Region Office of the Investigative Committee sufficient to convict former director of the Ural office of Rosgranstroy, a state-funded company, Boris Dudka. He was found guilty of crimes under Part 5, item “c” of Article 290 of the RF Penal Code (taking bribes on large and very large scales).

The court and investigators have revealed that in the period between 2012 and 2014, the accused took over 3.5 million rubles of bribes from directors of commercial organizations for signing documents of employment. His wrongdoings were revealed and broke up by the agents of the regional office of the Federal Security Service. He was detained on 26 August 2014, in his office while taking yet another bribe of 1.1 million rubles. During the searches the investigators confiscated over 25 million rubles in foreign currency and in Russian rubles. Following the request of investigators the court arrested non-residential spaces and land properties of the accused.

After the investigation, a request was sent to the director of Rosgranstroy to eliminate reasons and conditions that had contributed to the crime.

The court has sentenced Dudka to 8.5 years in a maximum-security correctional facility and a fine of 110 million rubles.
