The Maritime Territory Office of the Investigative Committee has launched a criminal investigation into a crime under Part 2, item “c” of Article 238 of the RF Penal Code (provision of services that do not meet safety standards) after a 36-year-old man died at a recreation center in Khasansky District.

According to investigators, on 31 July 2016, the man’s dead body was found in a shower unit at the recreation center in Khasansky District. The cause of death was electric shock owing to electrical safety breach. Providing shower services for the clients did not meet safety standards and entailed to the death of a person by negligence. The police are providing support in the case.

At present, investigative operations are underway to identify a person involved in the crime and to find out all the details of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
