The Ulyanovsk Region Office of the Investigative Committee continues criminal proceedings against former director of Dorremstroi, a municipal unitary enterprise, Andrei Polezhayev suspected of a fraud committed on a very large scale under part 4 of Article 153 of the RF Penal Code.

According to investigators, between July 2013 and January 2014, the suspect stole funds allocated on cleaning streets by concluding contracts with commercial organizations. He caused the town of Ulyanovsk a damage of more than 2 million rubles. A court has granted the request filed by the investigators and arrested the property of the former official.

The court has banned Polezhayev from managing his property – two plots of land and an expensive car worth a total of 4 million rubles. The investigation is ongoing.
