The Tula Region Office of the Investigative Committee has finished criminal proceedings against a 35-year-old woman charged with negligent homicide under Part 1 of Article 109 of the RF Penal Code.

According to investigators, on the night of 8 December 2016, the accused and her 3-month-old son, together with her 29-year-old partner and a 42-year-old acquaintance were going around Tula in a car. The woman and her partner were drunk. In the early hours of the morning, they parked the car in Oruzheinaya Street near a shop, where the 29-year-old man went to buy some baby food. The woman in the car fell asleep and pressed down the baby. When she was found in the car by the police, who had detained her boyfriend for stealing the baby food, the baby was showing no signs of life.

The investigators have enough evidence, so the criminal case with the signed indictment has been referred to court.
