In Vladimir, probe finished in shortest time against local resident who injured paramedic

The Vladimir Region Office of the Investigative Committee has finished criminal proceedings against resident of the town of Vladimir Amin Abdulazizov, 24. He is charged with deliberate infliction of medium bodily harm under Part 1 of Article 112 of the RF Penal Code.

According to investigators, on the evening of 20 January 2017, Abdulazizov had been drinking alcohol in his home, then he called a taxi and went to a night club where he continued to drink alcohol. Drunk Abdulazizvo went outside and was beaten to unconsciousness by an unidentified young man. The police found him and transported to the town emergency aid hospital.

The suspect claims that some unidentified people beat him in the club and threw him outside, where an ambulance picked him up and took him to a hospital. At 6:20 AM, 21 January 2017, the chief of the ER at the hospital set about rendering aid to the drunken man. The patient suddenly grabbed the woman on her clothes and started hitting her on the chest and head. Then he violently grabbed her hand. Another paramedic and police officers stopped the man.

A forensic medical examination ordered by an investigator found that the woman sustained medium bodily harm resulted from a closed brain injury, injuries to the chest, arm joints, multiple bruises on the head. The 41-year-old woman was treated in hospital and now she continues treatment at home.

The suspect’s position during the probe remained unchanged: he admitted the built and repented, but explained that he had not understood that he was at hospital and had thought that the paramedic was a dangerous person.

The investigators have enough evidence that indicate that Abdulazizov’s actions were deliberate. The case is being forwarded for the indictment to be signed and will then be referred to court.

In addition, the investigators filed a request with the police in order to set control over the behavior of the accused and take preventive steps.
