Suspects of killing four, including 2 kids held in Tuva

The Tuva Republic Office of the Investigative Committee continues investigating murder of two or more people and murder of minors under Part 2, items “a” and “c” of Article 105 of the RF Penal Code after dead bodies of 35-year-old wife and husband and two small children with traces of violent death were found after a fire in a flat in the town of Ak-Dovurak.

Investigators have checked different versions of the crime in a short possible time. A version of a murder committed by some people who then took off in a GAZ 31105 car spread by some mass media has not been confirmed.

Investigative and search operations conducted by the investigators and policemen have established that two women from Ak-Dovurak, sisters aged 19 and 15 years, were involved in the crime. They had been drinking alcohol with the killed husband in his flat. As was preliminarily established, the motive was a quarrel between the wife and the two guests which then grew into a fight. After the crime, the suspects set the flat on fire and fled. Neighbors saw heavy smoke and called firemen who then found the bodies.

Both women have been detained and are being interrogated. The investigators are going to ask courts to place the two women in custody pending trial. The investigation is ongoing.
