Investigative Committee Chairman congratulates Valentina Tereshkova on anniversary

Chairman of the RF Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin has congratulated the first woman cosmonaut, Hero of the USSR, vice-chair of the State Duma’s Committee for International Affairs Valentina Tereshkova on her anniversary.

The Chairman noted exceptional courage of that fragile and charming woman, who wrote one of the most impressive pages in the history of discovering the Universe, and stressed that Ms. Tereshkova is a person of a truly unique fate, about whom legends are made: “All her live is dedicated to selfless service to our homeland! A talented enthusiastic scientist, she made an outstanding contribution into development of Russia’s scientific and technical potential. Constant aspiration for knowledge and iron will have always helped Ms. Tereshkova to get the tasks executed, while her integrity, commitment and high feeling of responsibility have won her well-deserved authority and respect among Russian citizens.”

In his congratulation, Mr. Bastrykin noted that today she continues working for the good of the country with the energy and commitment so characteristic of her developing international relations, engaging in public activities and patriotic education of the younger generation.

The Chairman sincerely wished Ms. Tereshkova sound health, happiness, wellbeing, a festive mood and that success and good luck always accompanied her.
