Probe launched in death of man after being beat by teenagers by shop in Kamchatka Territory

The Kamchatka Territory Office of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation in intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm under Part 4 of Article 111 of the RF Penal Code.

According to investigators, 5-10 teenagers aged between 14-18 beat up an unemployed homeless man, 46 years of age, between 8 and 9 PM, 23 March 2017 near the Shamsa shop. The man later died of a closed head injury got in the beating.

According to preliminary information, the reason for the conflict was a recent quarrel between the man and one of the teenagers.

At present, investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances surrounding the incident and to identify people involved and their age. Some forensic examinations have been ordered. The investigation is ongoing.
