Probe launched in boy missing in Kursk Region

The Kursk Region Office of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation in murder of minor under Part 2, item “c” of Article 105 of the RF Criminal Code after a 7-year-old boy from the settlement of Rogozetsky Lug, Tim District went missing.

In addition, investigators also have launched a check in failure to do their duty by officials of guardianship authorities.

By now it has been established that the boy lives with his mother, grandmother and grandfather, who did a poor job of raising the boy, led antisocial lifestyle and according to other relatives beat him, so the boy often ran away from home. On the evening of 23 May 2017, he left the house with two dogs, one of which came back some time later. But only next morning the head of the village learnt that the boy was missing and reported it to the police.

So far search has given no results, but it is continued. Some 600 people, investigators, police, rescuers, officers of Russian Guard, soldiers and volunteers, are looking for the boy.

When a girl went missing in Orenburg, everybody went looking for her – law enforcers, volunteers and ordinary people. The girl was found and saved thanks to people’s attention and care.

The investigators are asking today all caring people to join in the search. If we all join our efforts, there will be a chance to save the boy.
