Alexander Bastrykin orders subordinates to check into abuse of babies by babysitters and analyze checks and procedural decisions

A federal TV channel has shown today a documentary about babysitters abusing babies while their parents are out. The documentary provided examples of outrageous incidents that took place in Tatarstan and Bashkortostan, in the city of Moscow and Jewish Autonomous Region.

Following the documentary Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin has given an order to heads of territorial investigative authorities to check if there were similar incidents in their areas and see if there were checks run into them.

Corresponding offices of the Investigative Committee have been ordered to check if the checks were thorough and correct and if the follow-up decisions were legal.
