The Moscow Directorate of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation against a 48-year-old man suspected of attempted murder under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 1 of Article 105 of the RF Criminal Code.

According to investigators, on the afternoon of 23 October 2017, the man got into the office of a radio station in Novy Arbat Street and stabbed a journalist in the neck.

The attacker was caught by security officer of the radio station and handed over to law-enforcers. The injured woman was taken to a hospital, and is now being treated.  

Investigators of the Moscow Directorate of the Investigative Committee are examining the crime scene, looking into the motives and the picture of the crime. The investigation continues.
