The Major Cases Directorate of the Investigative has charged Telman Ismailov with murder under Part 2, items “a”, “g” and “h” of Article 105 and illegal circulation of firearms under Part 3 of Article 222 of the RF Criminal Code.

According to investigators, Ismailov was an organizer of murder of two businessmen – Vladimir Savkin and Yuri Brylyov committed last year. He had devised the plan of the murder together with his brothers Rafik and Vagif Ismailov. The hitman was Mekhman Kerimov. On 15 May 2016, Kerimov shot the two businessmen dead from a car at Novorizhskoye highway. Rafik Ismailov picked Kerimov from the crime scene. Accomplices helped him to escape and to hid the murder weapon.

Rafik Ismailov and Mekhman Kerimov are in custody. A court has ruled to place Telman and Vagif Ismailov in absentia.

Files have been forwarded to the RF Prosecutor’s General Office to put Telman Ismailov on the INTERPOL’s wanted list.
