The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the directions of a number of investigative units to report on progress of investigation of probes and inquiries into a number of incidents affecting children.
Thus, the Tula Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia is investigating a probe into a murder of a minor girl and attempted murder of her mother (Paragraph C of Part 2 of Article 105 and Part 3 of Article 30, Paragraph A of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia). The suspect was detained on hot pursuit, a preventive measure for him will be elected in the nearest future.
Also, a report was requested from the head of the Western Interregional Transport Investigations Department on a set of investigative actions performed in terms of investigation of a probe launched into mass poisoning of children in a train following a route from Murmansk to Adler (Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of Russia - rendering of services that do not meet safety requirements). The medical workers who arrived at the train, after examining the minors, decided to hospitalize 31 passengers in the health care facilities of Belorechensk and Apsheronsk; upon arrival of the train at the destination, over 60 children were sent to a hospital in Tuapse.
Apart from that, the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia paid attention to the situation with violation of rights of a minor in Volgograd Region. The mass media spread a video of improper treatment of a boy in a hospital; the Volgograd Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia immediately launched a pre-investigative probe into this matter.
Apart from that, the Voronezh Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia launched a probe into violation of rights of a minor girl whose condition started to deteriorate after hospitalization and she was transferred to intensive care department in a serious condition.
Upon instruction of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia the progress and results of the probes and pre-investigative inquiries will be supervised by the Central Office of the Committee.
