Charges pressed against two former senior officials of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania and their accomplice

The Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia continues investigation of a probe into embezzlement of 180 million rubles of budgetary funds committed by executive power authorities of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. The previously detained former Republican Government Chairman Sergey Takoev, tourism minister Alan Diambekov and Director General of OZATE OJSC Aida Gabaraeva were charged with committing an offense under Part 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of Russia (embezzlement).

According to the investigation, in 2014, Takoyev and Diambekov, holding the above positions, Gabaraeva, being a director general of the said organization, as well as other persons ensured the conclusion of a state contract and the purchase of real estate at an inflated price from OZATE OJSC controlled by them, into property of the Republic.

Upon investigative motion the court placed the accused into custody.

Collection and consolidation of evidence and establishment of all accomplices in the offense continue.
