Upon instructions of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin, measures to return and repair the car seized during the investigation of the criminal case against Alexander Lazarev, accused by the investigating authorities of committing a number of grave and especially grave crimes in the city of Gai Orenburg region and wrongful possession of a car belonging to a resident of Orsk, have been promptly taken.
As previously reported, on October 3, 2021, at 7:14 p.m., Lazarev, a wanted criminal, was detained while stealing a VAZ-2110 car belonging to a local resident. Trying to evade law enforcement authorities, Lazarev committed a traffic accident, as a result of which the car was damaged. Taking into account the stated circumstances, the need to examine the car, which is physical evidence, to remove samples for comparative study from the interior of the vehicle, as well as to assess the damage caused to the property of the victim, this car was seized from the owner by the investigating authorities.
At the moment, all the necessary investigative and procedural actions with the car are completed. The vehicle was returned to the owner for safekeeping. The Orenburg Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia organized the removal of the car to the place of its further repair, the victim will be assisted in compensation for the costs incurred.
