A Criminal Case Has Been Initiated Against the Mayor of the Ukrainian City of Dnepr Over Incitement to Genocide

The Main Investigative Department of the IC of Russia has initiated a criminal case against Borys Filatov, the mayor of the city of Dnepr, Dnepropetrovsk Oblast of Ukraine. The investigation sees signs of a crime in his statements under Part 4, Article 33, Article 357 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement to commit genocide, that is, incitement to actions aimed at the complete or partial destruction of an ethnic group as such by killing members of this group).

Earlier, the Chairman of the IC of Russia instructed the investigators to give a legal assessment of the statements made by the mayor of Dnepr.

As part of the investigation, it has been established that Borys Filatov, having an audience of many thousands of followers, published a post on his social media accounts calling for the killing of Russians around the world, while justifying the need for such actions.

Such statements by Ukrainian politicians, journalists, and other public figures, whose goal is not just to incite hatred towards Russians, but also to incite specific violent actions against Russian people, have long become part of the misanthropic Russophobic policy of the Ukrainian regime. This once again proves the fact of the Nazi ideology “thriving” in Ukraine, which is communicated to Ukrainian citizens with the tacit consent of the country’s top political leadership.

Currently, all the necessary investigative actions and examinations are being carried out to assess Filatov’s statements. The investigation is taking measures aimed at putting him on the wanted list.
