The Sverdlovsk Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continue investigating a criminal case initiated over signs of crimes under article 127 (illegal deprivation of liberty) and article 109 of the RF Criminal Code (infliction of death by negligence).

The criminal case in question concerns facts of illegal deprivation of freedom of several women in a rehabilitation center of non-commercial organization – a charity fund City without Drugs and death of one of the patients – 29-year-old Tatyana Kazantseva.

As part of investigation searches were conducted in three buildings in Yekaterinburg. namely, investigation operations took place in the head office of the non-commercial organization on Belinsky Street, men’s rehabilitation center on Fabrichnaya Street, and residence place of one of the heads of the non-commercial organization in Avtomagistralnaya Street. During the searches investigators seized objects and documents relevant for the case. At present investigators are examining the seized objects and documents, after which they are going to decide what objects are relevant as evidence. The issue on the corresponding expert examinations is going to be resolved as well.
