The Moscow Region Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has launched criminal proceedings against a Vietnamese citizen aged 38. He is suspected of a crime under part 3 of article 291 of the RF Criminal Code (bribe-giving for illegal actions).

According to investigators, in October 2012 the Vietnamese citizen offered Colonel of Moscow and Moscow Region directorate of the Federal Security Service a bribe of 50 thousand US dollars for patronizing a business in organization of a sewing workshop involving illegal migrants. Investigating and search operations were organized to investigate the fact. The Vietnamese citizen was apprehended in the town of Yegorievsk in the moment of handing the money.

The suspect has been put into custody.

Investigating operations are under way to consolidate the evidence. Investigation is to be continued.
