Former Finance Minister of the Moscow Region Valery Nosov and his accomplices charged with extortion convicted

Court has recognized the evidence gathered by the Central Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee sufficient to convict former Minister of the Moscow Region Valery Nosov, a manager of OOO Galereya Triumf (LLC) Albert Guchigov and a businessman Ruslan Khatsiyev.

According to investigators Nosov, Guchigov and Khatsiyev in 2009 were illegally demanding from a businessman Vladimir Borodkin and Tayana Lonskaya to give them money and property worth over 92 million rubles. The accused accompanied their demands with the threats to cite the victims over a falsified criminal case.

The court sentenced Nosov to 4 years in prison, Gogichev and Khatsiyev to 3 years and 10 months in a minimum security correctional facility.
