Leonid Razvozzhayev charged with robbery

Central Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has charged Leonid Razvozzhayev with robbery, crime under paragraphs “a”, “c” and “d” of article 162 of the RF Criminal Code (Version of Federal Law of 13 June 1996 No. 63-FZ).

It should be noted that the fact of the crime Razvozzhayev is charged with was committed in 1997. But then the investigation was not completed. Not long ago, a woman from Angarsk filed an appeal to Internet-reception of the Investigative Committee, complaining that persons who robbed her husband in 1997 still had not been prosecuted. The Prosecutor’s Office sent the case to the Russia’s Investigative Committee for further investigation.

The materials of the criminal case show that Razvozzhayev entered with unknown persons into a preliminary criminal conspiracy to rob a businessman from Angarsk engaged in fur trade. On 4 December 1997, Razvozzhayev together with his accomplices armed with a double-barreled gun and two pistols, broke into the businessman’s apartment, tied him with a sellotape, then beating and threatening with guns, demanded the victim to give them his property. Razvozzhayev and his accomplices stole from the apartment a video camera and 500 fur hats causing damage of 95 undenominated rubles.

It should be noted that during criminal investigation Razvozzhayev in 1997 was identified by the victim as having been one of the robbers, who beat him and threatened with a gun.

At present investigating operations are underway to establish all the circumstances of the crime and information of other facts of criminal activity of Razvozzhayev is being checked.
