Alexander Bastrykin held the personal reception of citizens in Krasnodar

December 6, 2012 the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation held the personal reception of citizens in Krasnodar. More than 300 residents of various regions of the Krasnodar Territory, Rostov Region, and the Republic of Adygea applied to the Chairman. During the reception, which lasted from 13 to 21 hours and 30 minutes, Alexander Bastrykin met with 31 people. Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee Boris Karnaukhov and several heads of departments of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia assisted the Chairman in the reception.

Most of the complaints received by the Chairman at the personal reception referred to the procedural decisions on criminal cases pending in the investigative agencies of the Investigative Committee. Citizens also complained about the decision of other law enforcement agencies and judicial decisions. Special attention was paid to the applications of citizens who have asked to take control over the investigations into the crimes committed against children, as well as a number of high-profile cases of murder. In addition, residents of Krasnodar, Kropotkin and Anapa expressed their gratitude to Alexander Bastrykin, Boris Karnaukhov, and a number of employees of the Investigation Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Krasnodar Territory.

During the reception, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee made a decision to bring disciplinary proceedings against officials who did not take appropriate measures to implement the proper investigation of criminal cases. According to the results of personal reception, Alexander Bastrykin gave specific instructions to the heads of a number of regional investigating bodies of the Investigative Committee. Investigation of all complaints was taken under personal control of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
