Three witnesses searched in the process of investigation over plotting mass riots

The Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee is investigating a criminal case against Sergey udaltsov, Leonid Razvozzhayev, Konstantin Lebedev and other persons over signs of a crime under part 1 of article 30, part 1 of article 212 of the RF Criminal Code – plotting mass disorders in Moscow and other regions of the Russian Federation.

During preliminary investigation the materials have been collected that confirm the fact that Givi Targamadze had funded illegal activity of Udaltsov, Razvozzhayev, Lebedev to organize mass riots in the Russian Federation. Namely it was established that in spring 2012 there were organized visits of a group of Russians from different regions to Lithuania to participate in a seminar dedicated to seizure of power on the example of “color revolutions” that had taken place earlier in other countries. Materials of the criminal case confirm that such seminars were visited by Muscovites Taisia Alexandrova, Anna Kornilova, Yuri Nabutovsky.

Due to the fact that bodies of preliminary investigation had reasons to think that there might be objects and documents relevant for the investigation in these persons’ flats and for identifying other persons involved in this crime, they searched flats of Alexandrova, Kornilova and Nabutovsky in the morning of 11 December in accordance with the proper resolution of the court.

During the searches that have already been finished, investigators have seized electronic data storage devices containing literature dedicated to overthrowing the authority and other objects and documents relevant for investigation. At present the persons, whose flats were searched, have been delivered to the Investigative Committee to be interviewed as witnesses.
