Investigators confirm that there are proves that leaders of Russia’s opposition plotted mass riots and were funded from abroad

Concerning materials about contacts of Givi Targamadze with leaders of Russia’s opposition published in media it is necessary to explain that the Investigative Committee is not interested in their premature promulgation and is not an initiator of their publication.

But since such materials appeared in media the Investigative Committee can only confirm the fact of their existence and many other materials which are now filed into the case, they are being studied and subject to necessary expert examinations.

As it was reported earlier the fact that Razvozzhayev renounced that he had come to the Investigative Committee of his own accord is not relevant for investigation as investigators have other information and clues. These materials contain evidence that confirm not only the fact that Givi Targamadze financed Russia’s opposition, but also his personal role in organizing mass riots on Bolotnaya Ploshchad in Moscow, and that he directly managed the actions of opposition leaders during March of Millions in Moscow. Hence the Investigative Committee have already prepared a request on legal assistance, which in the near future through the Prosecutor General’s Office will be sent to Georgia.
