Suspect of atrocious murder of woman and two children held in St. Petersburg

The Saint-Petersburg Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee is investigating a criminal case over murder of a woman and her two children.

Best employees of law enforcement and security agencies have been involved in the investigation and different versions of the crime have been considered.

Thanks to professionalism and close cooperation of the investigators of the Investigative Committee and operatives of the Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad Region Main Office of the Russian Interior Ministry the suspect has been identified in the shortest time. It is the husband and father of the victims Alexander Kirillov, 30. In the afternoon on 30 April 2014 he was detained in his flat in Bolshaya Porokhovskaya Street. The investigators believe that in the night of 28 April during a heated conflict with his wife he stabbed her and their children several times. Then he cold-bloodedly dismembered their bodies in the bathroom and took them outside.

Custodial restraint and charges are being discussed at the moment. Investigation is ongoing.
