Earlier the Saint-Petersburg Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has reported that a criminal investigation was launched into the murder of a woman and her two children and that a local man was held on suspicion of the crime.

At the motion of the investigators court has ruled to place the suspect in custody and the charges are going to be pressed in the next few days. The man confessed that he had dismembered and took away bodies of his wife and children. As for the murder charges, he pleaded partially guilty claiming self-defense.

The investigation is ongoing and is under special control of the Saint-Petersburg Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee.
