In Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area former director of Municipal Order Directorate of Noyabrsk to stand trial for bribery on especially large scale

The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee for the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area have finished investigating a criminal case against the former director of Municipal Order Directorate of the town of Noyabrsk charged with crimes under part 6 of article 290 of the RF Penal Code (three counts) and paragraph “c” of part 5 of article 290 (receiving briberies on large and especially large scale).

Investigators found that in the period of his office between 1 June 2012 and 3 September 2013, the accused received bribes for actions connected with using of his official position. Namely, he received from heads of construction companies four bribes from 550 thousand rubles up to 9 million rubles for assisting them in winning a tender, conclusion of construction contracts, as well as for not making troubles during the execution of the contracts and acceptance of the work. The crimes had been revealed during the check by the investigators of the regional Investigative Committee and officials of the Office of the Russian Interior Ministry.

The investigators have gathered enough evidence, therefore, the criminal case with the approved indictment has been sent to court to be tried on the merits.
