Investigators identified persons involved in war crimes in southeastern Ukraine

During the investigation into use of prohibited means and methods of warfare the Russia’s Investigative Committee has carried out a lot of work and found new suspects involved not only in murders and shelling of civilians in southeastern Ukraine, but in the murder of Russian citizens.

Namely, commander of a division of Donetsk anti-aircraft rocket regiment Colonel Malamen is suspected of killing Channle One cameraman Anatoly Klyan. Investigators believe that he personally gave an order to shoot to kill civilians, resulted in killing Klyan. According to the investigators commanders of army aircrafts Pistruga, Slipchenko, as well as commander-in-chief of Sever operational corps Kolesnik, commander of the 51st separate mechanized brigade Yatskov, commander of an artillery group Papchenko, pilots of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Mamchur, Pogorely, Alimzhiyev and Izhchenko, commanders of battalions Azov, Aidar, Dnepr, Donbass Shpar, Gonchar, Melnichuk, Bereza, Semenchenko and a number of other persons from commanders of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, chiefs and members of the National Guard and the Right Sector were also involved in punishment operations against civilians.

All measures will be taken during the investigation to locate the said persons and to carry out investigating operations on them, as well as on the accused Savchenko. We are convinced that nobody from the involved in the punishment operation in southeastern Ukraine, including those who had a hand in killing Russian citizens, must not and will not get away with it. Those involved, starting with perpetrators and ending with those giving orders, have be aware of that.
