Criminal investigation launched in killing of man in Rostov Region by shell fired from Ukraine

The Southern Federal District Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case over a crime under paragraphs “f”, “g” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder committed in a generally dangerous way by a group of people and attempted murder).

According to investigators, on 13 July 2014, a shell was fired from Ukraine and got into a yard of a private household located at No 47, Baltiyskaya Street, Dontsk, Rostov Region, killing a man born in 1968 and wounding a woman by the shock wave. The woman suffered a fracture of femoral neck.

The investigators are now working at the scene trying to find out all the circumstances of the incident.
